FAR is the ratio of a building's total floor area to the size of the land it sits on. For example, if your land is 10 Katha and the permitted FAR is 3.5, you can build up to 35 Katha of total floor space. RAJUK sets these ratios based on road width and land location. A higher road width typically allows a higher FAR.
